Maxwell Lime Cave Cabernet 2002

Double decanted a double magnum about 90 minutes ago. Cork was extracted without incident

Red purple in colour. Lovely powerful nose of blackcurrant, a hint of eucalypt, and tobacco (maybe menthol). Flooding palate of milk chocolate, red berries and fine dusty tannins which support rather than compete with the fruit.

A lot of everything in this wine, but not unbalanced. It is worth the 10 year wait. Hopefully my guests will find it equally attractive.

Cheers

Allan
Wine, women and song. I've worked in a winery, and been a professional musician...hmm let's not go there.
